Disc bulge and annular tear l3- l4 l5-s1
Hi I had an injury at gym while doing back work out and had immense pain. Could not walk could not stand easily . After pain killers given by doctor the pains reduced and was able to walk and become normal but didn't excert to test the pain in that region till now. In the process took MRI scan prescribed by doctor and it revealed annular tears (L3 L4 L5 S1) and diffuse disc bulge (L5 S1). I was doing very less weight but I noticed I may have done wrong posture unfortunately in half minded way, which I usually never did . It was also much less a weight than the usual weight that I take. 1) When can I resume training ( weight and resistance training ) , currently have no pain . 2) Is it true that I Should I never lift weights again. 3) Some say it's a very common thing and it will become asymptomatic after a while and you can keep you training going all throughout. 4)What are the causes for early disc degeneration also noticed on my MRI (34YRS old married man).

Answers to your questions: 1. you can resume with tolerable weight training and then slowly progress 2. i don't think that is the case. you will be able to lift weights. 3. you have to respect the body and take proper care of the same during your time other than training. the amount of time you sit, work etc. 4. can be if you are into the profession or need of sitting for longer durations.
