Diarrhea since last3 days
My baby is 3 months old since last 2 days he is passing loss stool 6-7 times a day. I am giving ORS but no improvement in diarrhea v. Kindly suggest me.

Hello. Could you please specify Any other complaints along with the loose stools. Is the child on any sort of top feed/bottle feed? If yes then what milk? Please specify colour, smell presence of blood/mucus. These will be helpful to diagnose your child.

If baby is exclusively breastfed, then 6 to 8 stops per day is normal. No need of ORS. Continue exclusive breastfeeding.

If is baby is on exclusive breast feed and passing urine  normally (ie. 4_6episode/24hours) there is nothing to worry, how's her feed acceptance,

Diarrhea is very common at this age. Continue breast feeding. No specific treatment required. Usually it is self limiting and settles in 6-7 days.
Next Steps
Encourage orally. continue feeding. Give ORs. Report to Pediatrician if there is decreased urine output, vomiting, refusal to feed.

keep area around anus clean and dry. Apply diper rash cream and Coconut oil to avoid rashes. keep baby diper free as far as possible.

Loose motions are perfectly normal for this age ..no need of ORS. & any medicine..continue exclusive breast feeding
