I've been having loose motions since afternoon. A doctor friend asked me to take 2 loperamide stat and drotin and vibact tablets. Is this a correct combination. I have already taken loperamide. But I am feeling a bit drowsy and nauseous. Are these the side effects of loperamide?

Yes take loperamide 2 tab stat then one tab after each stool but not more than 16 mg per day.

Hello i have noted your concern,
You should never take the loperamide medicine until and unless you know the root cause for your loose stools if the cause of loose stools is bacterial infection or food poisoning you need proper antibiotics, probiotics and good oral hydration, loperamide will not work and it might make the situation more worse.
Do not self medicate, kindly consult now for proper treatment and management.
