Surgery is a must. It can be prolonged if u don't develop any complications. Headache, Vomiting, Giddiness, Seizures, deviation of mouth, visual problems - watch out for these

Once diagnosed with cholesteatoma, surgery is the only treatment. It can go on for years with minimal problems in some cases. But it can suddenly create nasty complications over days or weeks too. Get it operated asap. There is almost no role for medical management in most cases. All the best.
Plz add Tablet Ciplox TZ 2 times a day.
Stop any type of ear drops.
Do CT Temporalbones to know extent if disease and accordingly take decision to delay surgery.
Keep regular followup with your ENT surgeon.
If any of symptoms like Giddiness with nausea or vomiting, severe headache, facial deviation to one side happens then hv to go for emergency surgery..

Possible complications of the disease : Permanent / Temporary hearing loss, balance problems, facial Nerve damage, intracranial problems like brain abscess etc.
Can you delay the surgery : Yes, of course. However any delay can possibly lead to complications along with the surgery becoming more difficult and less optimal results. Your ear with the relevant investigations need to be evaluated before a definitive answer can be given.
