Choose whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, and whole wheat instead of refined grains. These are better for blood sugar control. Include healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts, and avocados. These help with inflammation and support overall health. Incorporate low-glycemic index foods such as quinoa, and oats to help regulate blood sugar levels and support weight management, which is important in managing PCOD. Avoid or limit refined carbs like white bread, pasta, and rice, which can cause blood sugar spikes. Ensure she has small, balanced meals throughout the day to prevent blood sugar fluctuations. Include protein, fiber, and healthy fats in every meal. Drink water regularly. Avoid sugary drinks and limit caffeine. Herbal teas like ginger or chamomile can also be soothing. For the breast lump, it's important to avoid processed meats and excessive alcohol(if she takes it) as they may increase inflammation and contribute to health issues. Instead, focus on antioxidant-rich foods like berries, tomatoes, and green leafy vegetables to promote overall health. Monitor her portion sizes to help maintain a healthy weight. Overeating, even healthy foods, can still affect blood sugar levels. Maintaining a healthy weight is important, as excess weight can exacerbate both PCOD and increase the risk of breast health issues. Her meals should focus on being nutrient-dense and appropriately portioned. Light exercise, such as yoga and walking, can also be beneficial for managing weight and improving overall health. Flaxseeds, chia seeds, and nuts (like almonds) are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which may help balance hormones and reduce inflammation related to PCOD and breast health. Limit dairy and foods high in unhealthy fats, as they can affect hormone balance.
Next Steps
Avoid adding table salt, extra oil, or heavy tadka to your meals, and reduce sugar intake. This helps lower unnecessary sodium, unhealthy fats, and sugar, supporting better heart health and overall wellness.
