Dextol while breastfeeding
Hi I got typhoid fever few days before I am a breastfeeding mother doctor prescribed me Dextol and azhythromycin doctor adviced me not to breastfeed until the course is over but due to baby crankiness without any option I gave milk will it cause any problem???

Both are safe for breast feeding.  You can give a gap of about 4 to 6 hours between breast feeding and taking the tablet.

It’s safe to breastfeed while you’re on Azithromycin and Dextol . There is no contraindication as such for these medications.

No need to panic. You can safely continue breastfeeding while completing your antibiotic course. Breast Feed the baby after 4hrs of Antibiotics consumption.

Hello Ma’am, Both azithromycin and ceftriaxone (Dextol) can pass into breast milk but usually in very small amounts that rarely harm the baby, so a few feeds should not cause major problems.
