Depression medication(psychiatrist)
I'm suffering from clinical depression from quite some time. Just want from psychiatrists to know that which drug is the most potent one used for depression according to your experience. I know it's different for different person but I just want to know generally.

Warm greetings. Studies say that most of the antidepressants have equal efficacy and remission rate. They are selected based on the symptom profile of the patient and side-effect profile of the drug.

1. Medications as you rightly mentioned are variable with different patients depending of nature of depressive disorder. Moreover, potency also is something thats variable as there are several forms of clinical depression.
Usually the first choice are SSRI group of drugs, all of which are more or less equally potent. Choice varies as per patient profile.
Next line most commonly are SDRI like Venlafaxine. Again, suitability is variable and must not be taken without consultation.
Alternative medications are aplenty and potency is variable and undefined.
