Depression, anxiety
I live with my mother who is very depressed. She gets angry and starts shouting at people, hitting us, and asking all of us to die. No matter what we do we can't keep her happy. I'm very stressed because of that and I'm not able to think straight. I don't want to die but she says it is better if we do. I'm very confused. Please help. It is affecting all of us badly, I'm scared to take any decisions, because each decision has a consequence and if that isn't a favourable consequence, mom might be more upset. She's controlling us, that's how I feel.

Dear sir, it seems your mother is suffering from some issue. Has this been her usual behaviour or has something changed to make her behave like this? Whatever it is, you are now 20 years old and can make independent decisions. Are there other younger children at home? Where is your father? Please seek help from a responsible adult and ask someone to stay with you or please go and stay with someone responsible as soon as you can. Ask your mother to seek professional help. If she will not and there is no other responsible adult you can approach, seek the help of police. This is a very difficult and urgent situation but you must show strength and courage and seek help. Even if there are neighbours who can help you, go to them.
Health Tips
At any cost, do not harm yourself and see to it that none of the other do so. You will be doing much more damage with no resolution to the problem you are facing.

I can understand your situation . It must be very distressing. Please consult a psychiatrist as soon as possible.  This seems more than depression. Definitely it is psychiatric disorder. She will get better after treatment. Dont be confused you don't have to follow what she is asking you to do as she does not know what she is doing and saying right now .
Next Steps
consult a psychiatrist
Health Tips
keep a watch on her 24 /7 for her and your safety
