Depressed and having suicidal thoughts
In January 2022, when I was in 11th grade, I went through a terrible breakup. It was entirely my fault—I was the one who cheated. But even after all this time, I haven’t been able to forget him. Since then, I’ve become very quiet. I don’t make friends anymore and prefer being alone in the dark. Now, it’s affecting my current relationship too. I often have suicidal thoughts, and I’ve developed a habit of overeating, which has led to significant weight gain. I don’t feel like doing anything—neither studying nor any other activity. I randomly start crying without any reason. My sleep schedule is completely messed up. On top of that, there’s pressure from my family, stress about my career, relationship struggles, and my NEET UG preparation, which I’m unable to focus on anymore. I just want to run away from everything. I don’t feel like living anymore.

First, I want to tell you this: I hear you, and what you’re feeling is not weakness, it’s the weight of everything you’ve been holding inside for too long. The breakup may have been the trigger, but what you’re going through now is not just about that—it’s about guilt, isolation, emotional overwhelm, and possibly clinical depression that’s grown silently over time. You’ve internalized that mistake as if it defines you—but one wrong decision doesn’t erase your worth or your right to heal and be loved. The fact that you’re aware, reflecting, and seeking help shows strength—even in your pain. You’re not meant to carry this alone. You need a space where you can untangle all this pressure, from your past, your relationship, your NEET prep, your family, and your mind. Therapy will help you: • Heal the unresolved guilt and emotional shutdown after the breakup • Understand the root of your suicidal thoughts and emotional eating • Rebuild your self-worth and create a supportive study & life structure Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five. You deserve a life where you’re not just surviving, but feeling emotionally safe and seen.

Hi, I appreciate that you reached out with your concern. Seek help from a therapist and consider techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and medications. Tailored strategies to your specific needs with professional psychologist will help you. My suggestion is consider Psychodiagnostic test so that you can find out is there any personality issues? If you’re experiencing thoughts of suicidal thoughts, please don’t face them alone. Talk to someone you trust. Seek immediate professional help if these thoughts persist. Practice energising breathing techniques like bhastrika pranayam, kapalbhati pranayama and practice mindful eating. Maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, going for walks, prioritize adequate sleep, engage in social activities and hobbies.
