Is their any difference b/w clinical psychologist and psychiatrist.if so then what is the difference.and to whom a person should contact to control the mind or excessive thought

Psychiatrist and psychologist are both deal with mental disorders and mental problems. Some problems needs medication  then psychiatrist give tgem medicine . Some problems needs mental health management then psychologist  Offer them psychotherapy and counselling. Some problems needs both then patient have to consult both of them.

A Psychiatrist prescribes medication for psychological disorders whereas a Clinical Psychologist will provide therapy for the symptoms you are experiencing. Consult a Clinical Psychologist for a detailed psychological evaluation. Post which the clinical psychologist will suggest you whether you need medication or not along with therapy.

Psychiatrist looks after medication part and psychologist looks after counseling and therapy of various clinical disorders. It depends what's the intensity of the symptoms. For initial consultation diagnosis and therapy you can consult a psychologist. Based on the evaluation you can be directed to a psychiatrist if need permits All the best

Psychologist are not doctors, remember that before you consult psychologist.they will refer you to doctors anyways so.
