I am diagnosed with adhd, need a clinical psychologist to treat it. Psychiatrist or clinical psychologist anyone works but I strictly don't want medicines that will make me sleepy or feel lost or not present at the moment. I also prefer to treat add 1st instead of depression. I don't want to eat anti depressant as it won't work on me since my issue will not get resolved through anti depressant.

It's up to you what you wish either medications or therapy or combination. Gold standard is combination of medications and tharapy. Alone therapy will take more time for response that can cause distress to an individual. Medications when given in optimum dose, do not cause sedation or addiction. You have all options, it's up to you what you desire.
Hi,
It's great that you're self-aware and actively seeking the right support for your ADHD. Your preference for non-sedating, non-antidepressant options is valid and can be addressed with a tailored treatment plan.
Next Steps
1. Consult a Clinical Psychologist trained in adult ADHD for behavioral strategies like CBT, time management skills, and executive functioning support.
2. Meet a Psychiatrist to explore stimulant or non-stimulant medications that do not cause sedation or emotional blunting (e.g., atomoxetine, modafinil, or low-dose stimulants).
3. Request a multimodal plan: medication only if needed, combined with therapy and lifestyle interventions (sleep, nutrition, exercise).
Health Tips
a. Depression and ADHD often coexist, but treating ADHD first can sometimes improve mood symptoms.
b. Please do not self medicate or abruptly stop any prescribed medication.
c. Share your concerns clearly with your treating professional to co-create a plan that respects your preferences and optimizes outcomes.
Instead of you deciding what would work best for you, let your psychiatrist decide. Consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and appropriate management. If you do have ADHD, and if it is causing significant distress and affecting your functioning, medications will mostly be prescribed. Not all medications will just put you to sleep. They have various mechanisms of actions.
Avoiding medication will not help you.
You can consult psychiatrist for the drugs that suits you best.
Not all drugs are sedative.
But entirely depending on non pharmacological management will worsen your condition
Some things are beyond the scope of clinical psychologist and the same things work for psychiatrist as well where proper counselling and structured CBT can not be done by psychiatrist for which clinical psychologist is must.
I guess u don't know the limitations and taking steps on your own which will be detrimental in long of your treatment
