Hello
The instruments used for scaling and root canal are different, and the instruments are only used after they are sterilized
The instruments are changed after each patient’s visit and the same instruments are not used again and again
So you need not worry about the hygiene issues

Hii normally almost all dental clinics use sterilised and disposable equipments for every pt. Anyway root canal instruments and cleaning instruments are different. No need to worry about that.
Next Steps
Next time when you visit a clinic, check for the sterilisation protocol they practice there and then go for treatment. So that you will be free of thoughts.
It's normal to feel worried, but dental offices follow strict rules to keep everything clean and safe. Tools are either sterilized or disposed of after use, so the risk of catching anything, like HIV, is very low. If you're unsure, you can always ask the clinic about their cleaning practices. If you notice any unusual symptoms after your visit, contact your dentist. But overall, dental procedures are safe, and the chances of infection are minimal, so there is nothing to be worried.
Hi,
All instruments used for dental examination and procedures are sterilized after every patient. No instrument is reused before cleaning and sterilization.
