Yes implants can be an option for him, get a CBCT(advanced x ray) done which will show wether your father has enough bone or not .. in case he has then it's a simple procedure to put implants but in case he doesn't have, then some advanced techniques are employed first to either create bone or some other implant systems like basal implants can be used for him
Next Steps
Get his thorough medical checkup done and all the diagnostic tests done
Health Tips
On the basis of cbct and medical reports get a firm diagnosis and take opinion from two or three doctors/ implantologist and opt what you think is best for you

If patient is not suffering from medical conditions that contradict implant surgery, implants are the best option for this age group. As they preserve bone and increase the chewing efficiency as compared to removable dentures.
Next Steps
Visit prosthodontist and implantologist

More than age his medical condition and habits are important. If he BN is medically fit and does not smoke, then we need to access his bone condition. If bone condition is good we can place implants for him.

Hi,There is no age limit for implant & it can be done at your father's age also provided after xray (CBCT) enough bone is there to hold the implant .For the success of implant it is important that the medical condition like Diabetes should be controlled for success of implant.
