Delayed Periods after Cabgon dose
Hi, i'm unmarried, got my last period on 3rd Nov and Prolactin serum as 60.98. Doctor prescribed me Cabgon 0.25mg 1 dose per week for 4 weeks. I had a spotting around ovulation date too. Usually i have cycle of 30-33 days from past 2-3 years but my periods this time are delayed by 10 days. I had a change of place and job so this month was hectic. Should i get another prolactin test or wait more for periods?

You should get your complete Hormone profile (FSH, LH, PRL, Oestrogen and Progesterone levels) . Also get a sonography of the lower abdomen done and Consult a Gynaecologist with all the reports.

Periods can be delayed due to raised prolactin. No need to repeat the test. Just wait for your periods

Hi What was the reason behind doing prolactin testing? Usually when prolactin levels raise, there will be delayed menses which is expected. No need to get repeat test.
