Hello. I understand your concern, but I want to reassure you that receiving a 1500 mcg Methylcobalamin injection at this stage is considered very safe. Because your Vitamin B12 levels were initially quite low (less than 100), your body required those first 10 injections to quickly build back its essential stores. Why It Is Safe Water-Soluble Nature: Vitamin B12 is water-soluble. This means your body absorbs what it needs and naturally filters out any excess through your urine. Low Toxicity: There is no established "Upper Limit" for B12 intake because it has a very low potential for toxicity, even at high doses like 1500 mcg. Maintenance Phase: Moving to one injection every three months, as your doctor suggested, is a standard "maintenance" schedule to ensure your levels do not drop back into the deficiency range. Next Steps Follow the Schedule: It is safe to proceed with the maintenance dose every three months as advised. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any returning symptoms like tingling in the hands/feet, extreme fatigue, or memory fog, and report them to your doctor. Dietary Support: If you are vegetarian or vegan, discuss B12-fortified foods or oral supplements with your physician to support your levels between injections.

Yes, this dose is safe B12 injections like methylcobalamin 1500 mcg are commonly used, especially when levels are low. Your levels are still borderline, so proper follow up and maintenance are important. Please book a consultation so I can guide you on the right dosing schedule and long term plan.

It is safe. Your current b12 levels are borderline low, you can just continue with tab neurobion forte one daily for 4 weeks. Take more of berries, nuts, milk and milk products,  eggs, mushrooms,  whole grains, soya.

It is completely safe to receive a 1500 mcg Methylcobalamin injection even after a prior intensive course. Vitamin B12 is water-soluble, meaning your body absorbs what it needs and safely excretes any excess through urine. Moving from a level of <100 pg/mL in August to 240 pg/mL in December shows progress, but since 240 pg/mL is still on the lower end of the normal range, a maintenance dose every three months is a standard and safe clinical practice."
Next Steps
you can relax—the medicine is safe and your doctor's plan to space out the shots is exactly right. Book a consultation if you feel any new nerve-related symptoms so we can make sure your levels are staying in the high-normal range."
