Deep cleaning after wisdom tooth extract
I have removed upper left wisdom tooth exactly 35 days ago. I have to get deep cleaning on the left side of the mouth. I did right side deep cleaning 2 months ago and Dr asked me to come back for left side deep cleaning which i didn't go yet. Can I get deep cleaning on the same side of extraction? Will that hole will be closed by now? I have to get SRP only for this left side. Also, I haven't eaten on this side yet. When can we start eating on this side? I eat only soft foods because of my right side jaw pain.

Yes,you can get deep cleaning done on left side as wound gets healed in 10 to 15 days. You should chew from both the sides, this will prevent plaque accumilation on left side. Kindly attach photograph of right side so as to get a clear piture of cause of the pain

Yes, ofcourse you can go for the cleaning on the left side as the wound must have healed within 10 to 15 days of the extraction. You could have started eating the normal food after a week itself, while maintaining the oral hygiene. One of the reasons of pain in the right side of your jaw might be because you were avoiding to eat from that side for almost a month.
Next Steps
Get a thorough examination done by a dentist. It will help the dentist to rule out the exact cause of your pain

After the extraction of your upper left wisdom tooth, it generally takes some time for the socket to heal and the hole to close completely. At 35 days post-extraction, the socket should be well on its way to healing, but it's best to consult with your dentist or oral surgeon to assess the healing progress before proceeding with deep cleaning on the same side. Deep cleaning, also known as scaling and root planing (SRP), involves cleaning the tooth surfaces below the gumline to remove plaque and tartar. It is typically performed to treat gum disease. If your dentist has recommended deep cleaning on the left side, it's important to follow their advice for optimal oral health. Regarding eating on the side of the extraction, it's generally recommended to avoid chewing on that side until the socket has fully healed. This can vary from person to person, but typically it takes several weeks for the extraction site to heal completely. Soft foods are a good choice during this healing period to minimize any discomfort or complications. To ensure the best outcome, I recommend reaching out to your dentist or oral surgeon for specific guidance tailored to your individual situation. They will be able to assess your healing progress, advise on the timing of deep cleaning, and provide recommendations for resuming normal eating habits.

Healing of the wound on left side would have happened within these 5 weeks. Yes, you can eat normal food from this side. Infact you should have started doing it within a week, while maintaining oral hygiene. Yes, you can get deep cleaning done in this side too. Why do you have pain on right side? Is it because of overuse and totally avoiding left side that has caused jaw pain/ TMJ pain? Or is if because of some other dental problem?
Next Steps
Get your pending treatment completed and right side examined properly to ascertain the cause of pain.
