Hi..yes root canal treatment is done for kids also to remove tooth infection. If it is done by a specialist (Pedodontist) then no problem. Root canal will be successful. Regards

There are no side effects of root canal in milk teeth if a proper filling material that is suitable and ideal for baby teeth is used to fill the canals. For a 4 year old do not opt for tooth removal.

Only other option for root canal is extraction which is not advisable at 4 yrs of age. Root canal for milk teeth are being done since a long time without any problems. Look for a good pedodontist and you are sorted. Take care.

Please do not go by the subjective experiences of other patients..... if you are too apprehensive, do not go to the same doctor that they went to......  if the dentist has clinically examined the case and advised RCT then probably that is the only logical step at this point..... you are always free to take a second or even a 3rd opinion, but it would be highly advisable not to delay the treatment as there is no alternative for root canal treatment if we want to save the tooth till the time it should be naturally present in the oral cavity.... Regards.....

Root canal is the best treatment option to save the milk teeth in your case. Get it done and do not worry it has almost absolutely no complications.  The material used to fill the teeth is of a kind which will dissolve as the tooth sheds and hence will not create any problem.  Visit your dentist regularly so that you can prevent decay in the other teeth as well

If you are not interested for root canal treatment then extraction is the solution followed by space maintainer inorder to maintain the space for the underlying permanent tooth. There are no side effects for root canal treatment. Plz consult a pedodontist for treatment.
