I cannot tell you the type from here, because that reading depends on the actual images and the radiologist's description of size, wall, contents and blood flow rather than on a summary. What I can tell you is the general rule. Most simple, thin walled, fluid filled ovarian cysts are functional and resolve on their own over one to three cycles. Cysts with solid areas, thick walls or internal septations need proper assessment. Tablets, including hormonal pills, do not dissolve a cyst that already exists, though they can reduce the chance of new functional ones forming.
