Cyst and fibroid
I am 38 year old now and I have a daughter of 12. Now I want another kid. After the screening I have a cyst in my left ovary and fibroid. Doc says to do lap for both as I want to get pregnant and I am already 38

Considering your age, evaluation of fertility as well as rectification of any causes related to fertility should be proactively dealt with. Not all cysts or fibroids needs surgical intervention for fertility unless they are directly linked to your inability to conceive.
Next Steps
Rule out other fertility factors. You merit a detailed evaluation of your ovarian reserve in view of age above 35. Have a tubal patency test done. Have your spouse's evaluation for fertility done.

Consider Laparoscopy, if your Doctor thinks that the surgical removal of your cyst as well as your fibroid is definitely going to increase your chances of getting pregnant.
