It is purely for local action. Even though the literature says that it should not be used during pregnancy but individually all the ingredients are used during pregnancy.
Every ointment for piles and fissures will have these ingredients. So choice is to take a minimum risk or to suffer.
I think I will recommend this for pregnant ladies.
