My dad a diabetes patients 59 years old. Suffering from fever for last 8-10 days. He tested positive for covid 19 today. He don't have any breathing issues till now. His body temperature is normal now from last 36 hrs. He is taking Cetanil T every morning and Glycomet sr. Now he is too weak and have dry cough. What to do now? I'm from Nimta, Kolkata. Thank you.

Monitor his spo2 levels, temperature, heart rate and respiratory rate.take high protein diet and proper sleep for 7 to 8 hrs per day,if any signs of fever or spo2 levels less than 90 , admit in nearby hospital

Being diagnosed with diabetes and covid RTPCR positive with 59 age itself is worrying.
Steam,saline gargles.avoid oily spicy foods.
Mask and hand hygiene.medication as per guidelines from covid care centre
Monitor symptoms like fever and breathing problem and oxygen saturation. Maintain social distance. Keep his isolated.
In case of.amy worsening in breathlessness and oxygen level, immediate contact to nearby govt hospital.
monitor oxygenation..and get him for physical examination to a covid hospital..chest xray is needed in such cases..continue close follow up with a pulmonologist via tele consult..
give good nutritious diet.
