He is Diabetic and is on diabetes medication since many years. Covid Vaccination both doses already completed few months ago. We have now started with his Covid medications and following Home Quarantine. His Oxygen level is 98/99 and heart beats between 71-80 and he has cough and cold. We are monitoring his condition at home however we needed to know if we should consider getting Lungs CT Scan done or it is not required. Kindly advise, we are getting concerned as he is a Diabetic patient and been a week that fever is still there.

Persisting fever spikes in second week of symptoms onset is a warning sign,go for a CT chest to rule out pnuemonia and if present to see the severity of infection so as to further proceed with addition of steroids use, kindly mention CRP,D DIMER, FERRITIN levels to assess severity of infection, close monitoring of vitals every 2_3hours ,if saturation falls below 95 may need to  address soon, simple 3/6 minutes walk test at home can rule out pnuemonia depending upon desaturation further
Next Steps
Take online consultation with pulmonologist for further guidance

Persistent fever even after 5 days of symptom onset is not a good sign. Fully vaccinated is good as the infection would be possibly mild but it is better to get a CT chest done. He might be advised further medication and precautions depending on the CT scan findings.
Next Steps
Get CT Chest done. Closely follow up Oxygen Saturation If possible do a 3 minute or 6 minute walk and check SPo2. If fall more than 3 % it's better to consult the treating doctor.
