Steroids are a double edged sword, be it in the oral or topical cream form.
They are to be used very judiciously.
Since they give a fast relief in eczema and rash, people tend to keep on applying them continuously, without knowing their serious side effects.
E.g. people use creams on their face for clearing spots without consulting the doctors, these creams tend to clear the spots TEMPORARILY, but the side effects are disastrous. In girls, these tubes (like betnovate, tenovate, quadriderm, fourderm, panderm, parlour cream, pakistani cream, melaz, melacare, skinlite, skinbrite) when used for months together can cause these side effects
Increase facial hair growth

Thinning of skin
Reddening of skin
