My mother is 53 yrs old and she still gets her periods but the problem is that last month she got her periods twice and today again she got her periods.She takes medicines for cholesterol and thyroid. Is this normal? Or there is something serious?

She needs evaluation it is not normal
Examination and an ultrasound to chek her endometrial thickness
A oaosnear LBC will also be taken while examination
This all will help to reach diagnosis
