you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy. this will give you temporary relief from pain. you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. if it is related to your wisdom tooth, you need to get it extracted. if there is infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated.
Pain and swelling in gum can have origin from the gum or the teeth. Whatever the case, infection is there. Please show to a dentist for the needful. If you cannot go on an urgent basis. Please take a course of pain killer and antibiotics till then to restrict the infection.
