Consumption of Sugar
Hi, I would like to know how much sugar one should consume in a day without risking weight increase? My current weight is 74Kg. I do mostly desk job and not much of exercise. So, if I have to check my weight, do I need to stop having sugar all-together or I can consume upto a certain extent in a day? Also, is there any difference form weight gain perspective between white-sugar and brown-sugar?

I cannot quantify the sugar consumption, as a general advice try to avoid extra added sugar in hot beverages and softdrinks and avoid eating regular indian sweets. Traditionally we used to eat sweets only during major festivals, now it is so widely available, we do consume very frequently , so we should go back to our traditional practice.
