Your concern looks very genuine.18 months and 8 kg is less if the child's birth weight was 2.5 kg or more. Constipation in this age group is common .As it seems to affect his food intake you need to treat it. Get his weight and height plotted on a brought chart to know the extent of problem . Get his thyroid checked if not done already.
Next Steps
increase viber in diet decrease his milk intake to 50% of whatever he is taking now.offer rice based foods regularly.do not give refined flour - maida products like biscuits and chips.decrese sugar intake
Health Tips
using lactulose and glycerine suppository helps.

Constipation is more common problem among kids...this is because of faulty food habits...give more water and high fiber containing food like banana, papaya, vegetable soups etc.avoid jungfood....if problem still persists consult your pediatrician for stool softener as more information is required for dosing ...

Hello.......I can understand your concern.. Feed him enough water, give him fiber containing vegetables, Give him plenty of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.if your toddler's constipation lasts for two weeks or more it's called chronic constipation, and you should see your pediatrician. , doctor may prescribe stool softener.....
