3 year son constipation problem
My son is 3 years old he doesn't go to potty regularly he does it after 3 or 4 days only. He struggles with constipation. Once he had very sever problem for about 5 days he did not do potty with heavy constipation problem, i had taken him to Doctor he had told to give Gutclear syrup, after that for 2 days he was doing regular and normal potty but on 3rd day same problem starts . i use to give him Gutclear Syrup after his every 4 days trouble. But is this good to give him regularly for const

Hello...need to know the weight of the child...got to know whthr you are giving the correct dose..more over constipation is a chronic issue...so treatment also is a long course...u need to give the syrup daily in the night atleast for 3 months even if the stools are going normal..it has to be tappered and stopped only by the doctor. Secondly along with medicine - fibre vegetables and fruits diet with lot of liquids is very important. Thirdly toilet training - using of Indian toilet with full squatting both morning and night is important too. Only if u adhere strictly to all the 3 things above together, you will get a permanent cure from constipation for your child.
