Pain in rectum with hard stools
My son Hanshit is 6 years old and is complaining about pain in rectum when he passes the stools. He has itching also there..
The first stool that he passes is hard and therafter the pain remains all the time.
There is no blood with the stool and no constipation.
Please suggest what could be the reason.

Passing hard stools can cause pain abdomen sometimes.
I would advise u to give him plenty of water per day and give him fruits rich in fibre that shall make his stool soft and can relive his pain.
Would want to know any history of eating non edible foods like chalk piece uncooked rice etc. This could result in worm infestation sometimes

and if stools persist to hard we shall start with stool softeners

As your child passing hard stool which leads to anal mucosa damage...which leads to pain and itching....
