Avoid bread(maida items).Take Flax seeds, fry it in a pan without oil, then put it in a mixi, make powder and you can take 1 teaspoon with jaggery in the morning and night after meal .There are certain medicines to curb constipation which can be tried to get best results. Using any medication long term for constipation is not good as it promotes dependence. Drink plenty of water. Increase fiber intake (fruits, vegetables or over the counter fiber supplements like isabgol). Try to go to the toilet around the same time everyday. Use Indian toilet if available. If using European toilet, use a low stool to prop up your legs (www.constipasana.com) Be careful of proprietary ayurvedic medicines as compared to traditional ayurvedic medicines as they are known to cause lot of side effects. You can search for it online as I am not an expert in ayurvedic medicines.
