Medications only provide temporary symptomatic relief for dental infections and will never cure the cause of the problem. When it comes to wisdom teeth infections, extraction of the offending tooth is the only objective treatment which can alleviate your symptoms permanently. OPG x ray will be required to assess the condition of the tooth so that the extraction can be planned accordingly and it should not be delayed for a long time before the symptoms aggravate further.
