Mucoid degeneration (MD) is a rare pathological affection of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Mucinous material within the substance of ACL produces pain and limited motion in the knee. In this condition now you can avoid weight bearing activity.

If the Mucoid degeneration is in the meniscus then the synovial collection may be due to the joint irritation. The treatment will be to trim the meniscus and washout the joint.
