Constant coughing
My daughter is slightly asthmatic and has a lot of coughing issues due to allergies. She has been prescribed nebuliser 4 times a day. Meds for nebulizer are 0.5ml asthalin and 0.5ml budecort with 3ml NS. Also Monticope 2.5ml twice a day for 3 months. I wish to know within how many days will her cough go with these medicines. Thanks in advance.

Hello For asthma, avoidance of triggers such as dust, cold air, pets, smoke, chilled items etc. along with the current medications is main stay of treatment. Better to continue monteleukast and anti allergic syrups Instead of nebulizer, she can use inhalers with spacer mask once the condition stabilizes. May take longer sometimes to improve.. patient to patient it may vary. Meet Pulmonologist for further advise. May require chest xray..
