Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) like Pantoprazole, Esomeprazole, etc., should not be stopped abruptly, especially after prolonged use. Abrupt withdrawal can lead to a rebound increase in gastric acid secretion, which may cause symptoms like acid reflux or gastritis. It's advisable to taper the dose gradually. You need to restart your medication and after a couple of weeks of using them regularly start taking them on alternate days for another two weeks and then stop.

You are young and fit to be operated, get hiatal hernia  repaired. Meds are only for symptomatic relief. Take frequent small meals,  avoid spicy  oily, heavy, meals. Sleep with bed propped up head side. Restart meds

Your symptoms have returned likely because the medications were stopped. Restart your previous medications (Ganaton Total, Acogut, Librax) after consulting your doctor. Antacids(like pantoprazole or esomeprazole) before breakfast for acidity For post-nasal drip, use a nasal saline spray Eat small, frequent meals Avoid lying down soon after eating Don’t eat spicy, sugary, and oily foods
