Concern about tmj disorder
Is there any restriction in talking and laughing for tmj disorder problem (being treated with splint therapy and orthodontic treatment)?please help.

Yes,  there are restrictions for many more things like talking more, yawing, hard food chewing for tmj disorder

There is no restriction in normal talking and speaking in TMJ disorder patient!!!!!
Next Steps
Precautions in TMJ patients are- 1. Take soft diet 2. Don't open mouth excessively like in yawning 3. Warm cold compression at TMJ region twice daily 4. TMJ exercise prescribed by your cobsultant

There is no restriction for talking and laughing but to open the mouth wide as in yawning you have to be careful because the supporting structures of tmj will be stretched during this time
