Is complete ATFL heals itself in some months or surgery is compulsory. I got my complete ATFL tear 9 months ago but sometimes when I stretch my legs or wear heals it hurts and if I walk alot it got swollen

Hello.Complete tear of ATFL won't heal on its own.It needs surgery.We tend to neglect ligament injuries as we are able to walk;as opposed to a fracture where we would be unable to walk.
Next Steps
Though not an emergency,surgery will protect you recurrent injuries and degenerative joint changes.
