Collar bone  plate removal
Hi, I went under surgery for a collar bone plate with 8 screw on 01-05-22. Doctor suggested to get it removed after one year. Want to know can I get it removed now? Will my bone survive without it or gets weaker? What are the plus minus and When is the best time to get this removed.

Best person to decide removals of implant that is plate in your case is operating surgeon! so please discuss with him/her. In general removals of implant is advised when fracture has healed and consolidated .some time early removals also done in cases of complication due to implant itself.
