Better to use when congestion for severe and very thick secretions are present or else go for nasoclear drops 1-2 , 3-4 times a day until symptoms will go.After putting drops in one nostril wait for 1-2 min.

For infants you get normal saline nasal drops ,these can be used every 3-4 hrs one or two drops at a time in each nostril

Use Nasoclear saline spray ( Nacl -0.65%) Nasoclear purehale (2.3%) is too much concentrated salt for infants.
