My father had circumcision surgery done by ZSR method. Its 4th day today. When should we remove stapler from penis? And by whom it should be removed? By us or by doctor? Its is causing discomfort and the penis is swelled. He's diabetic. Age 52

ZSR or stapler circumcision refers to the advanced technique that involves minimal incisions to remove the foreskin from the top of the penis.
Next Steps
Recovery period :-                       is usually 2-3 days depending on the severity of the foreskin condition and the surgical expertise of the surgeon. However, complete recovery may take around 1-2 weeks if the patient strictly follows post-recovery tips. Stapler can be removed from 1 week .
Health Tips
Precaution:- Regularly wash your penis with lukewarm water every day while having a bath. Gently pull back the foreskin and wash the penis head properly because it can cause irritation and dryness. A mild or non-perfumed soap can be used to wash the penis as it can reduce the risk of skin infection. Avoid using deodorants and chemical products that can be allergic to the skin and cause irritation
