Chronic constipation
My mother is a chronic diabetes patient 74 year old and taking the following medication Jalra OD 100 mg Rebsec DSR Pruvict 1 mg Nurokind Gold RF Rosubest 5 mg Etizola 0.25 mg Amaryl 1 mg Softovac for diabetics Despite medicines for smooth bowel movement, she often have constipation. The matter becomes worse when she have bread( even brown bread) She mostly follows a diet as per food chart. Kindly let us know whether simple dietary change will do or do we need some other medication. Is it a big concern!?

A diet change is a must since she is already on so many medications.its possible that inspite of the diet chart her fibre intake or fluid intake is less.also she may not be getting enough physical activity. Its impirtant to know her sugar profile.

Hi., I can understand your concern. It can be a side effect any medicine. Avoid taking bread too much. Take fibre rich diet.
Next Steps
take gudlax plus laxative 10 ml at night after food, when needed.
