Hello my friend,
Constipation is very common. And it is due to many reasons. Like, not consuming enough water, lack of dietary fibres in your diet, lack of exercise, lifestyle issues etc.
Instead of going for basti Karma, you can try some other ayurvedic medicines which work great in conditions like this.
* Castor oil - 1-2 teaspoonful of castor oil with Luke warm water at bed time. (You can have a pinch of salt afterwards.)
Castor oil is 100% certified medicine, used for constipation throughout the globe since centuries.
* 'Gandharv Haritki Churna'- It is also one of the classical Ayurvedic medicine having Mrudu Virechak action.
* 'Abhayarisht'- 15-30ml twice a day after meals with equal amount of Luke warm water.
It also has laxative properties, improves peristaltic movements and effectively improves dedication.
You can also try some modern medicines like, lactulose , milk of magnesia, liquid paraffin etc. Variety of products are available in market.
Try these medicines, adopt healthy life style, consume enough water (30ml/kg/day), increase fibers in your diet , do some exercise, avoid junk food, with this you could permanently get rid of the sufferings.
But still I would advise you to consult with your physician.
