Chronic constipation
Dear Doctors, I had a mild constipation since childhood but last 2 years have a severe constipation. I have diabetic and Hypo thyroid with good controlled. I tried many medicine but no remedy i.e.( tablets of  cremlax, Charcole, pruvit, tacofil,movalax) others ,Duphalac, crammafin, Tribala, warm water, Walking, gym excercise, Fruits, flaxseed, 3 liter water, fiber powder, naturlox,. Finally i come to Dulcoflex tablet which is only stimulate my bowel movement and going toilet when I wakeup. I taken the colonscopy and its said grade 1 hemorrhoids. Further gastroenterology doctor said this constipation coming due to childhood and suggested the food habit changes. My question is can i go for Dulcolax long time? What are the complications on future if i take dulcolax long term? My bowel movement is working only with the dolcolax tablet only. Pl advice...

Better not to take dulcolax for longer then weeks..   You must be in touch with good medical gastroenterologist  ... consult for diet ....high fiber In case clinically required you should be tested further according to symptoms

after clinical assessment...  you might requires functional studies ... anal manometry, colonic transit study etc ...

don't get upset , don't concentrate on bowel movement much , it just increases psychological component of disease
