Chalazion in 6month baby
Hi All, My baby is 6 months old and we saw a little bump on his right eye lid when he was 3 months old, after a lot of searching I got to know it's chalazion, we tried eye drops(moxifloxacin opthalmic solution) warm compress but nothing is helping to reduce the swelling, though it's not increasing but not going either, we don't want to go for surgery anything you can suggest please..

In such a small child, it doesn't look like chalazion, It might be haemangioma or a cyst . If It reduces on pressing it and the quickly refills then its hemangioma , In that case avoid hot foamentation.

1)Do warm compress( dip clean cloth in warm water and keep on the lid ) 3 times a day 2) gently massage the eye lid 3) TOBA eye drops 2 times a day These steps may help drain the secretions accumulated in chalazion But if size of the swelling is not decreasing should go for simple incision and curettage of chalazion which is a day care procedure
