Hi, according to me, it is unlikely the cervical dystonia latercollis was causes by the Root Canal treatment or cap treatment because it is a neurological movement disorder. Although there is not definitive cure for it, there are few supportive therapies to comfort the patient. A neurologist specialises in managing movement disorder should be consulted for the same for better and optimum treatment. Few known treatment modalities known are- 1. Regular injections and medicines. 2. Acupressure therapy or light pressure at certain neck points. 3. Assisting posture- Reclining or sitting with head support. Using neck supports, high backed chairs etc. Treatment are usually individual to each patient.
Next Steps
Consult a neurologist specialised in managing movement disorders.
