Once cavity is started on tooth, then you need to remove carious part and then filled it properly. Fillings won't make your tooth weak, infact your tooth is more healthy now, and will function as it was doing earlier. Still have queries then consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

Hi... No medication can be given for caries. It is always better to get your tooth filled as the progression of the caries may lead sensitivity and further into pain and RCT. No your tooth will not become weak it won’t be as good as a natural tooth but will function normally. We need to know the type of filling material to comment on its longevity.
Next Steps
Maintain good oral hygiene and keep going on follow ups for the filling.
