Hi Sir,
Yesterday i have visited a dentist because i have sensitivity in my teeth for almost 1 year now. She examined my teeth and told me that i have cavities in my 8 moral teeths and need filling. And she did fill all of them on same day.
But still i am not satisfied, because i brush 2 times in a day still how come i had cavity in 8 teeths, also she didn't took any xray of my teeth. I am still thinking if my teeths were healthy and she just filled it without proper investigation. Please help me to clarify my doubts do doctor need xrays to check if cavity is there or not ?
Also she showed my tooth it was not black just yellowish on my tooth .. like root structure. Was that cavity? It's 24 hours now, still i have somw sensitivity.

Hello dear
Please be calm
See there are a lot of reasons for dental caries which include diet, hygiene and genetics.and x ray is needed in deep caries having either reversible or irreversible pulpitis.so you need not worry about x ray and continue brushing twice a day.however for sensitivity you need desensitizing paste.for further details you can consult me
Thanks
Many factors cause caries, even after two times brushing one may have caries in multiple teeth, and if the caries is not very deep no need for an x-ray .multiple teeth can be restored in a single visit so nothing wrong.
You might have cavity even after brushing twice because development of cavities also depend upon the micro flora of your mouth ( good and bad both bacteria) .
Your oral cavity might have increased number of caries causing bacteria.
The dentist might have found the caries not that deep so might have skipped the x-ray.
Also not always the caries would be blackish in color..it might be brownish or yellowish we get to know that by moving our instrument around the cavity.
You might have to use any anti sensitivity toothpaste for a while if you still have sensitivity.
Next Steps
Try visiting the dentist again if problem persists or you can consult online.
