Hello Sir.
Hope your son is fine.
Can you pls explain the wound and the vaccination history of your son? Is the cat vaccinated pet or a stray animal?
Pls avoid getting TT if he is upto date in vaccination and if the wound is deeper, anti rabies vaccination alone is not enough. Immunoglobulins should be administered.
Next Steps
Please visit a nearby hospital or schedule a consultation online. We will plan further.
Health Tips
Maintain good hygiene in bite site and look for signs of infection like swelling, colour changes or pus discharge.
Clean the scratches, watch for infection, and you probably do NOT need rabies shots; consider tetanus status and see a doctor if signs of infection or lymph node swelling develop.
Don’t worry, most cat scratches heal well with proper care 👍
we need to check the depth, clean it right, and decide on tetanus shot or antibiotics safely.
Book a quick consultation with me now I’ll guide you for your son’s fast relief and safety. 😊
Hey gentleman!
If there was bleeding at the place of scratch marks then you should get vaccination and if there was no bleeding and just scratch then no need to get vaccination. However in both cases you should clean the wound properly and follow proper aseptic precautions to get it heal.
Next Steps
Wash the wound properly and get vaccinated if it bled
No need to worry if there is only scratch get tetanus shot if your son is below 5 years old no need to give if you have already vaccinated him for teatanus in prior and watch out for any infection or bleeding
