Cardiac Pain vs Superficial Pain?
What are the definitive ways to understand if the pain caused in the chest is a superficial or a Cardiac pain? I am 34; Had Cervical Spondylitis with compression in C5, C6 , C7. I get pains all around my chest and back. Usually the pains last a few seconds and is pinching and throbbing in nature (idk how to explain in words). The pains usually are 3 inches above the left nipple at one point and same on the right. Sometimes in the joint near my sternum. I have had ECG, 2D Echo, Holter 24 all were normal 2 months ago. May I know what are the definitive signs that the pain is Superficial or Cardiac in nature?

Typical cardiac pain will be like this 1. Location: The pain is typically located in the chest, often described as a pressure, heaviness, or tightness. It is usually retrosternal, meaning it occurs behind the breastbone. 2. Radiation: The pain can radiate to other areas, such as the shoulders, arms (especially the left arm), neck, jaw, or back. 3. Quality: It is commonly described as a squeezing, pressing, or burning sensation rather than sharp or stabbing pain. 4. Duration: Anginal pain usually lasts for a few minutes, typically 2 to 5 minutes, but it can persist for up to 15 minutes. It is usually not a fleeting pain. 5. Triggering Factors: The pain is often triggered by physical exertion, emotional stress, cold weather, or heavy meals. It tends to subside with rest or after taking nitroglycerin. 6. Relief: The pain is relieved by rest, stopping the activity that triggered it, or using medications like nitroglycerin, which dilate the coronary arteries and improve blood flow. 7. Associated Symptoms: Angina may be accompanied by other symptoms such as shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or dizziness.
