There could be many reasons for the ear pain...impacted wax? Needs drops folloed by cleaning....cold and nose block needs decongestants and antihistamines...fungal infection needs cleaning and antifungals...any discharge associated with pain could mean perforation in tympanic membrane...
Kindly do not use over the counter ear drops without getting checked by the ent doctor
