The two most important factors for good lactation are a good healthy balanced diet by you,so NO dieting for 6 months, and secondly, regular suckling by the baby. If you feel your lactation is not sufficient, you can try giving top formula feed after EVERY breastfeed,if the baby drinks good amount of top feed, that means your lactation is actually not sufficient. In that case,in addition to the 2 factors above, you can try cap lactare 2 caps thrice a day and tab perinorm twice a day, both for 15 days. If effective, continue for 3 months, but if NOT,stop, and consult your gynaecologist.
